Mercedes Mone to debut in AEW by March 2024: Backstage Report

Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) is one of the biggest names in the pro-wrestling industry. Mone is now one of the hottest free agents, where a number of wrestling promotions are looking to sign to their promotion. It was previously reported that Mone has been in negotiations for a big money deal with some of the top companies.
Previously WWE ended the talks with her stating the money she quotes is huge. Based on past reports AEW is also interested in signing and now the latest reports suggest that Mercedes Mone might make her AEW debut in a month.
Mercedes Mone to make AEW debut
On the January 31, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW announced that AEW CEO and founder, Tony Khan will be making a major announcement on February 7.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select speculates that AEW Founder, Tony Khan’s announcement on the February 7 episode of Dynamite could likely be related to Mercedes Mone being signed to AEW. However there isn’t any official information about the rumored announcement.
Sean Ross Sapp reported,
“AEW founder Tony Khan fueled speculation on Wednesday when it was announced that he’d have an announcement on the February 7 episode of AEW Dynamite. While no one will confirm, it was implied that it was related to the impending appearance of Mercedes Mone in AEW. However, we were not told that her signing would be outright mentioned as a part of the rumored announcement.”
Ross Sapp also denied Dave Metlzer of Wrestling Observer’s previous report of Khan planning to debut Mercedes Mone for AEW Collision at Boston on February 27. He continued stating that she will likely be making her AEW debut by March 3 at Revolution. However there isn’t any confirmation about her signings or debut.
Fightful also believes that based on WWE sources, Mone signed a contract with AEW weeks ago, however it is not confirmed officially. It tallies PWInsider’s previous reports that Mercedes Mone will be back in wrestling in the USA by March 2024.
