AEW Dynamite heads to Phoenix, Arizona, for its first named special of the year, Maximum Carnage. The event features a loaded lineup and will take place at the Arizona Financial Center in Phoenix.
The in-ring action this week promises plenty of chaos with multiple multi-person matches scheduled, including a high-stakes World title clash and much more, which will further shape storylines and feuds as the year continues.
In a marquee showdown, AEW World Champion MJF is set to defend the title for the first time against ROH World Champion Bandido. Darby Allin and Pac are also set to battle in a singles action.
On the other hand, Kenny Omega is set to return after calling out AEW World Champion MJF on the final show of 2025. In his return, he could confront the winner of the showdown between MJF and Bandido in the World Title match.
A women’s trios match has also been announced for the show, with AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander teaming up with AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale) to face the Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla) following a challenge issued backstage by Thekla and the Sisters of Sin last week.
Additionally, a four-way tag team match has been announced for the show, with a future shot at FTR’s AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line, as the Young Bucks (Matthew Ronjon Massie & Nicholas Lee Massie), GOA (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona), JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey), and the Don Callis Family (Jake Doyle & Mark Davis) square off.
