This week’s AEW Dynamite was go-home episode before the AEW All In.

With All In just a few days away, AEW Dynamite put up an amazing concert at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff, Wales. The atmosphere was electrifying as All Elite Wrestling’s studs delivered an incredible night of action and fierce confrontations.

With excitement building for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, tonight’s Dynamite served as the ideal introduction to one of wrestling’s largest pay-per-views ever.

Get to know what happened on AEW Dynamite this week, as we came out with a detailed summary of everything that happened on the show.

Mercedes Moné and Britt Baker contract signing on AEW Dynamite

Tony Schiavone began the night by inviting Britt Baker into the ring for the highly anticipated All-In contract signing. Mercedes Moné, backed by Kamille, entered the ring to conclude their TBS Championship match.

As predicted, the portion was full of angry interactions. Moné displayed her typical confidence, but Baker reminded her of the crutches she needed following last year’s All In.

The back-and-forth was intense, with each woman firing verbal barbs that energized the Cardiff audience. Despite the excitement, the portion remained basic, focusing on the upcoming contest. The signing concluded with Baker knocking out Kamille and standing tall after executing a cross-body from the table, leaving Moné down and out on AEW Dynamite this week.

Chris Jericho vs Tommy Billington

Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith, and Big Bill fought Tommy Billington, the nephew of the famous Dynamite Kid. The Cardiff audience greeted Billington warmly and paid tribute to his late uncle. Billington demonstrated his tenacity early on, unleashing several powerful attacks, including a missile dropkick that frightened Jericho.

However, meddling from The Bad Apple and Redwood swung the tide in Jericho’s favor. Despite the outside meddling, the match was action-packed, with Billington demonstrating his ability to compete with the veteran. Jericho finally secured the victory with a Codebreaker, countering Billington’s attempted flying headbutt on AEW Dynamite.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Toni Storm vs Saraya (AEW Women’s World Championship)

Toni Storm stepped into the ring with the audience solidly behind her, ready to defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Saraya. Storm, who has a date with Mariah May at All In, found herself in a struggle to keep her title reign.

Storm used numerous vintage wrestling moves during the match, much to the pleasure of the crowd. However, Harley Cameron’s interference turned the tide, allowing Saraya to dominate for the majority of the contest.

Despite the inevitability of the conclusion, especially with Storm’s All In battle looming, the contest was interesting. The champion overcame the odds, resisting Cameron’s meddling with a kiss before unleashing Storm Zero on Saraya to win. The jubilation was cut short when May assaulted Storm, leaving her unconscious in the ring.

Winner: Toni Storm

MJF and Will Ospreay came face-to-face on AEW Dynamite

Before Will Ospreay could address the Cardiff audience, MJF made his presence known by wearing an American flag outfit. The two guys engaged in a fierce verbal battle, each attempting to outdo the other’s bluster and arrogance. The audience was enthusiastically interested, even though most of the verbal duel was familiar ground for these two adversaries.

MJF, never one to shy away from controversy, mentioned Ospreay’s family, prompting the Englishman to query about the cost of striking MJF. After learning that it would cost him £100,000, Ospreay felt it was worth it and floored the AEW American Champion with a punch. The mayhem that ensued saw MJF seize control, delivering a brainbuster before security could separate them.

Claudio Castagnoli vs Kazuchika Okada (AEW Continental Championship)

In one of the night’s main events, Kazuchika Okada defended his AEW Continental Championship against Claudio Castagnoli. Both guys drew ecstatic cheers from the Cardiff audience, and their match lived up to the expectations.

The match was a display of technical wrestling expertise, with neither fighter surrendering an inch. They put their opponents’ resolve to the test with hard-hitting exchanges and sophisticated countermeasures. As the bout went on, it became evident that neither man was prepared to let the upcoming PPV overshadow their efforts.

Despite the spectacular in-ring action, the battle finished in a time-limit tie, replicating the outcome of FTR vs. The Acclaimed on Collision. While the non-finish may upset some fans, there is no doubt that this was one of the week’s greatest bouts on AEW Dynamite.

Result: Draw

The Elite vs FTR & Darby Allin

As Kazuchika Okada celebrated his victory, The Elite appeared ready to assault Claudio Castagnoli, but FTR and Darby Allin stepped in. The bout that ensued was chaotic from the start, with FTR immediately attacking The Young Bucks and Allin focusing on Jack Perry.

Despite the tumultuous start, the match gradually calmed into a more typical trios match, but it wasn’t long until chaos broke out once more. The battle included high-energy sequences, multi-man spots, and plenty of pandemonium. Finally, Dax Harwood earned the victory for his team by pinning Nick Jackson, leaving The Elite and Jack Perry furious as they exited the stadium on AEW Dynamite.

Winner: FTR & Darby Allin

Final confrontation on AEW Dynamite: Bryan Danielson and Sean Strickland

The program concluded with a final match between Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland, but not before The American Dragon urged Will Ospreay to unleash the Tiger Driver on MJF. Danielson and Strickland had a strong verbal exchange, with Danielson bringing up Strickland’s family before Swerve was downed by a Busaiko Knee.

With Strickland down, Danielson went on him, indicating that he is prepared for their battle at All In. The segment was an effective way to end the broadcast, emphasizing the importance of their impending battle and the stakes involved.
