Danielson gets his catchphrase trademarked
After months of teasing retirement, fans have exciting news. Bryan Danielson has trademarked the catchphrase which shook the wrestling world from its core.
‘YES!’ He will battle Swerve Strickland in the main event of All In pay-per-view for the AEW World Championship. The American Dragon is one of the most decorated professional wrestlers.
He was a legitimate big eventer in WWE. He rose to prominence before WrestleMania 30 thanks to the Yes Movement, and he even headlined the event.
The 43-year-old star joined AEW in 2021 and is now competing in high-caliber matches. Upon his arrival, Bryan also stated that he would not be doing Yes chants because they were not his but were owned by WWE.
However, he utilized it in a few matches. He is now in his final year as a full-time wrestler; his contract expires on August 1, 2024.
Bryan Danielson recently registered a trademark for the term ‘YES! YES! YES!’ with the US Patent and Trading Office (USPTO).
Is Bryan Danielson coming to WWE or bringing is gimmick back to AEW?
Fans feel that Danielson’s trademarking of WWE property before his contract expires suggests that he may return to the Stamford-based corporation. But nothing is confirmed. We believe Danielson will bring his old gimmick to AEW All In 2024. This is just a hypothesis.
Danielson has used the Yes! shouts on a few occasions in AEW. He originally led the cry throughout the final stages of his 60-minute Iron Man battle against MJF at AEW Revolution 2023. Three months later, Danielson used them again against Kazuchika Okada at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023.
Danielson will battle AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland for the championship at AEW ALL IN: London next month. With his wrestling contract slated to end on Thursday, the Wembley Stadium contest is now expected to be his final full-time wrestling encounter. This trademark was probably registered to ensure that Danielson may perform all of his hits at AEW ALL IN: London.
