Multiple AEW superstars are considering moving to WWE and not re-signing with the company.

For over two decades, WWE stood as the sole giant in the world of professional wrestling and also in the mainstream. Vince McMahon’s creation reigned supreme over Ted Turner’s WCW in 2001 and began their dominance for a long time.

However, in 2019, Tony Khan and a group of world-class athletes serving as EVPs came together to bring a direct competitor to WWE, All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Since then, AEW has provided a major land of opportunity for athletes, other than WWE, and assembled a roster of some of the biggest wrestling stars in the world. However, as also seen over the last five years, AEW has lost some of their top-tier stars to WWE such as Jade Cargill, and the reigning poster boy of the company, Cody Rhodes.

Moreover, there have been recent reports that some other home-grown AEW talents, who had remarkable runs in the company are looking to jump ship to Stamford-based company.

What could be the potential reasons for top AEW stars to choose WWE over their current company?

According to reports, AEW talents like Ricky Starks and Daniel Garcia are reaching the end of their respective contracts, with no signs of renewal. Garcia was seen last month on AEW Dynamite, where he was written off with an attack by MJF. Moreover, it has been months since the fans saw Ricky Starks on AEW television. Instead, they spotted him to be in attendance for WrestleMania 40, to watch his friend, Cody Rhodes win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

A major reason for the talents of their caliber might have peaked in AEW and would possibly be looking to take their careers to the next level in the global juggernaut. After all, Stamford-based company operates on a scale that is higher than AEW with a much bigger fan base and opportunities.

Moreover, with Triple H’s regime taking over and implementing significant changes such as creative freedom, collaborations with other promotions and significant push to stars, that could be another major influence for the aforementioned AEW stars to choose WWE over their current company.

While nothing has been confirmed as of now, all signs are pointing towards stars like Ricky Starks and Daniel Garcia possibly moving to WWE shortly.
