India to Armwrestling Asian International Cup 2024 in October

Event to be held at Mumbai in October this year.
The People’s Armwrestling Federation of India (PAFI) on Wednesday announced that India is set to host Asian International Cup later this year. The tournament will take place in Mumbai from 19-26 October. Along with PAFI, the World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) and Asian Armwrestling Federation (AAF) will organize the event.
A total of 350-400 overseas talent and more than 800+ Armwrestlers from India will be taking part in this prestigious tournament. The Asian International Cup will follow and have same categories as Asian and World Championship and will have athlete participation from 15 Asian countries.
Ms. Preeti Jhangiani, President of the PAFI, voiced her thoughts on India hosting the Asian International Cup. She said, “It is a matter of great honour and pride for us at PAFI to have received the mandate to host the prestigious Asian Cup. India will be hosting an International tournament after a huge gap.

Jhangiani also laid emphasis on the competition, saying” Top athletes from over 15 Asian countries will be participating and it is a huge opportunity for all our Indian players to compete at an international event right on their own home turf! This event is part of our 5-year plan to take Indian Arm wrestling to greater heights and to showcase our athletes who have already started performing very well at international tournaments.”
