India managed to bag 8 medals on the day.

Thailand dominated the men’s and women’s Sepaktakraw Team Regu gold match events, winning gold against South Korea and Malaysia. Both men and women claimed victory in the best-of-three format, 2-0 over their respective rivals. There’s more action in this unique sport coming your way over the next few days at Asian Games 2023, with the quadrant and individual regu events scheduled over the next week.

The Indian contingent continued to impress in the shooting events, winning five medals in the four shooting events held. The shooters helped themselves to gold medals in the 50m rifle three-position team men’s event and the 10m air pistol women’s final.

India also scored silver medals in the women’s 10m air pistol team, women’s 10m air pistol, and the men’s 50m rifle three-position event.

The Indian women’s squash team unfortunately bowed out against Hong Kong, losing two matches to one, but still managed to win a bronze. The men, however, are on course for gold as they trounced Malaysia two matches to nil. India will face Pakistan in the final tomorrow (30th September) at 15:30 local time.
