Asian Games 2023: Updated India schedule for September 22
All eyes will be on the Indian volleyball men’s team after their historic win previously.
The Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou are up and running although the opening ceremony is slated for 23 September. Indian athletes are giving their all in their respective disciplines in order to go one step closer to winning a medal for the nation. September 21 (Thursday) was a day of highs and lows for India with the Indian men’s football team and Indian women’s cricket team notching up wins. However, the Indian women’s football team suffered a 1-2 loss against the Chinese Taipei in their opening group fixture.
On September 22 (Friday), the Indian men’s volleyball team will be in action against the Chinese Taipei in a Top 12 encounter after securing a historic win over South Korea. Indian paddlers will also be starting their campaign at the Asian Games 2023 on Friday. Stars like Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra will be under the spotlight in table tennis events.
Plenty of Indian athletes will also be competing in various events such as rowing, sailing and modern pentathlon on September 22.
