Jyothi Yarraji finishes fourth in women's 100m hurdles at Polish WACT-silver level meet

This was the youngster's joint fourth-best career time in 100m hurdles.
India's Jyothi Yarraji claimed the fourth spot after clocking 13.03 seconds in women's 100m hurdles at the 69th Orlen Janusz Kusocinski Memorial held in Poland on Sunday (June 4th). Olympic champion Camacho-Quinn and Johnson from the USA finished joint first with a time of 12.42 seconds. The event is a part of the Continental Tour silver meet and Jyothi has finished well in a highly competitive field.
The youngster had a slow start and was lagging behind till the 40m mark but she then caught up pace to finish a credible fourth. This was also Jyothi's joint fourth career-best time (in 100m hurdles) and she is close to breaching the 13-sec mark on a consistent basis.

National Record holder Jyothi Yarraji, 24, last participated in T Meeting held in Tilburg (May 29th) and finished on the top spot clocking 13.08 seconds. This is her third meet in Europe this season with a few more scheduled before the Asian Athletic Championships 2023. Jyothi next up will be competing in a C category event scheduled for June 7th.
Annu Rani (NR holder in women's Javelin) will be competing at the Memoriál Josefa Odložila in Czech Republic tomorrow (May 5th) which is a World Athletics Continental Tour bronze-level event.
