Seven players will compete in the javelin throw event at the Diamond League Final 2025.

The Diamond League Final 2025 is scheduled to take place on August 27 and 28 at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich, Switzerland. The competition will feature the best athletes across 32 disciplines (16 for women & 16 for men).

The first day of the two-day event will see five athletes being crowned champions, while the remaining disciplines will take place on the second day in Zurich.

The javelin throw event at the Diamond League Final 2025 will take place on Thursday, August 28, at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich, Switzerland. Seven athletes will compete for the title in this field event.

Why is Arshad Nadeem not participating?

Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem is not participating in the Diamond League Final 2025, as the Pakistani player did not compete in any of the Diamond League legs this season. The Olympic champion was recently recovering from a calf surgery and has featured in only one competition since the Paris Olympics 2024.

A total of 17 javelin throwers earned points across the Diamond League legs, but only the top six made it to the final. Reigning World Champion Neeraj Chopra finished fourth with 15 points.

Arshad last competed at the 26th Asian Athletics Championships in Gumi on May 31. He registered a gold-medal winning throw of 86.40m.

The Pakistan javelin thrower will next compete at the World Athletics Championships in September. His 92.97m throw at the Paris Olympics 2024 helped him secure qualification by entry standard as he breached the mark.
