Macau Open 2024: Full list of players who have withdrawn from BWF 300 tournament

India’s Malvika Bansod will not be competing in women’s singles at Macau Open 2024.
The main draw of Macau Open 2024 has almost been finalised as few players have decided to withdraw from the event. There were initially over 377 players competing in the tournament but now 18 players have confirmed their absence in the event. India is leading the list with five players withdrawing from Macau Open 2024.
In men’s singles, Orijit Chaliha and Abhishek Yeligar will not be featuring in the event. Both Indians were set to clash in the qualifiers. Chaliha had last competed in the Indonesian Masters three weeks ago where he lost in the opening round to Krishna Adi Nugraha. Meanwhile, Yeligar had played in the Vietnam Open two weeks back and suffered a first round against Wang Zheng Xing.
In women’s singles, India’s Malvika Bansod withdrew from the event after having reached the quarterfinals of the China Open last week. She was India’s top seed in women’s singles and will look to make a comeback to the tour next week. Joining Bansod will be Hungary’s Vivien Sandorhazi who reached the quarterfinals of Polish International two days ago.
In men’s doubles, the Japanese pair of Takumi Nomura/ Yuichi Shimogami will not be seen in action. The duo has been on a break since issuing a walkover in the semi-finals of Vietnam Open a few days ago.

In women’s doubles, the Thai pair of Laksika Kanlaha/ Phataimas Muenwong are yet to make a comeback since handing a walkover a week ago in the opening round of the China Open.
The mixed doubles has seen five pairs announcing their withdrawals from Macau Open 2024. India’s Tarun Kona/Sri Krishna Priya Kudaravalli will not be playing in the event. The pair had played in Hong Kong Open while crashing out in the opening round.
