Amanda Serrano vs Reina Tellez

Tellez is ineligible to win either of Serrano’s titles tonight.

‘The Real Deal’ Amanda Serrano will return to the featherweight division tonight as she gears up to battle a young 22-year-old, Reina Tellez. Tellez has stepped in to replace Erika Cruz, who had pulled out of the match due to a failed pre-fight drug test.

Serrano is looking to get back into the win column after two back-to-back losses against Katie Taylor. The clash will take place at the Coliseo Robert Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Saturday, January 3.

Serrano’s Unified WBA and WBO titles were on the line for the match. However, Tellez failed to make weight for the fight and is now ineligible to win either of Serrano’s belts. Tellez initially weighed in at 126.8 lbs (57.5 kg), then 126.6 lbs (57.4 kg) in a second attempt, missing the featherweight limit.

The entire event will stream live worldwide on DAZN Pay-Per-View, and subscribers to DAZN’s Ultimate Tier can watch the card at no additional cost.

In addition to the main event, the fight card features several high-stakes bouts, including former boxing and UFC champion Holly Holm, who will face undefeated star Stephanie Han. Han’s WBA World Female Lightweight Title will be on the line in the co-main event.
