Mike Tyson & Jake Paul seem to be in shape for the fight

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson were supposed to face off earlier this year, but the bout had to be rescheduled after Tyson had to withdraw from the historic showdown due to a serious health issue.

Tyson had previously undergone extensive preparation before their first fight and appeared to be in excellent shape and form, but a sudden onset of medical difficulties caused him to request a postponement of the fight.

There were serious doubts about whether these two professional boxers would ever face each other again, but this concern has been removed with the announcement of a new date of November 15, when the battle will take place.

Furthermore, the legendary AT&T Stadium in Texas, where the fight was originally slated to take place, will host the contest again. Meanwhile, both athletes will be required to fulfil the sport’s drug regulatory criteria, as established by Texas officials.

Netflix has exclusive streaming rights for Paul vs. Tyson, which could attract a large global audience. The fight between Paul and the former heavyweight champion had to be postponed from a planned July date due to Tyson’s medical problem in May.

Tyson had to dial back his training due to a stomach ailment flare-up. However, neither party wants to back out, and despite a four-month delay, Paul vs. Tyson is still scheduled to take place at the Dallas Cowboys stadium.

When is Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson scheduled for?

While Paul vs. Tyson had to be postponed, event organizer Most Valuable Promotions was able to reschedule the fight during a gap in the Cowboys’ NFL schedule, assuring that it would take place at the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium. Dallas’ “Monday Night Football” game against the Houston Texans is slated for Monday, Nov. 18, but there’s plenty of time to attend both major events.

“Our team has worked diligently with all parties involved to reschedule this monumental fight to a date that ensures both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fully prepared, with equal training time, as well as allowing us to keep the event at AT&T stadium amid the Cowboys season,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions in a statement.

Official rules for Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson

The fighters have agreed to minor rule changes, and the bout has been approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.

The regulations for Paul vs. Tyson feature a maximum of eight two-minute rounds (rather than the regular three minutes). The bulk of boxing contests will now utilize 14-ounce gloves instead of the customary 12-ounce ones.
