India announce squad for Taekwondo World Championships 2023 in Baku

The tournament will take place from May 29 to June 6.

The Taekwondo World Championships 2023 is set to be held from May 29 to June 06 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This will be the 26th edition of the Taekwondo World Championships and Azerbaijan will be hosting the mega event for the first time. The Indian contingent couldn't make it to the 2022 Taekwondo World Championships due to visa issues.

As reported by TOI, “The Embassy of Mexico refused to process the visa application of a 20-member Indian contingent for the Worlds (13 - 20 November 2022) as its diplomatic mission wants a letter approving the taekwondo team's visit to Guadalajara from the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
