The ENG vs IND 2nd T20I will take place on July 4 at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.
Indian Cricket Team are locking horns with England in the five-match T20I series. The series holds a great value for Men in Blue as they had a horrible series against Ireland. The Shreyas Iyer-led side lost their first-ever game against Ireland in T20I cricket, and eventually suffered a humiliating 0-2 series defeat.
Shreyas Iyer, who was appointed as India’s T20I captain ahead of the campaign, received a lot of criticism for his poor captaincy in his first assignment. However, he has a brilliant captaincy record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and domestic cricket, and is expected to make a comeback in the upcoming campaigns.
Unfortunately, the opening T20I game between India and England on July 1 was washed out due to rain after the visitors posted a mammoth total (189/7) in the first innings.
Now, India will leave no stone unturned to outplay Harry Brook & Co. in the 2nd game on July 4 at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. With the change of venue, India might go ahead with a few changes in the clash and below are three of them.
3 changes India could go ahead with in the 2nd T20I vs England in Manchester
3. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi over Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson failed to score in opening game against England, getting out for just one run. While his opening partner Abhishek Sharma hammered a fifty, Samson registered yet another dismal performance.
Moreover, he also flopped in the T20I series against Ireland, getting out for single digits in both games. Amid Samson’s continuous struggles with the bat, many fans and experts have backed Vaibhav Sooyavanshi to make his debut in the series.
Despite being part of both series against Ireland and England, Sooryavanshi has warmed the bench in all three games. The management might drop Samson for the next clash and provide an opportunity to Sooryavanshi, who has impressed with his spectacular performances since the start of 2026.
2. Prince Yadav over Ravi Bishnoi
The second ENG vs IND T20I will be played at the Emirates Old Trafford, which favours pacers more than spinners. The pace and bounce-friendly pitch keeps pacers in the game, while spinners often struggle to get wickets.
India played three spinners, Ravi Bishnoi, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy, in the previous game but might go ahead with more seamers in the playing XI in the second game.
Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana were the only two pacers in the 1st ENG vs IND T20I and they might add Prince Yadav in the next clash. The right-arm pacer impressed in his debut game in the last match against Ireland, clinching a three-wicket haul.
1. Washington Sundar over Axar Patel

Axar Patel has struggled to get going with bat in the UK tour. He got out for 3 runs in the 1st T20I against England and registered scores of 14 and 15 against Ireland.
While Patel has done a decent job with his bowling in his last two games, he has struggled to add firepower to the batting in the lower order. Hence, India might bring in Washington Sundar to strengthen their batting depth in the Manchester clash.
When and where will the ENG vs IND 2nd T20I take place?
The encounter will take place on July 4 at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.
Who lead the ENG vs IND T20I series?
The five-match series is tied 0-0 after the first washed-out game.
