India’s ODI squad has three new faces for the South Africa tour.
After the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia, the Indian team will fly to South Africa for a multi-format series, which will start with three T20Is on December 10. After that, both teams will play three ODIs, starting on December 17. The selection committee announced the squads for all three formats on Thursday, which included some new faces in the white-ball format along with a full-strength test side.
KL Rahul will be leading India’s ODI squad for the South Africa tour, with three players players getting their maiden ODI call-ups. In this article, we will talk about three players who are set to make their ODI debut for Team India.
Here are three new players which will be seen in India’s ODI squad for South Africa tour
1. Rinku Singh:

Rinku Singh recently made his international debut for India after performing well in the Indian Premier League. He proved himself as a worthy finisher in the shorter format. The left-hander has been incredible with the bat, and his hard work has paid off as he has been rewarded for his efforts, and he has gotten his maiden ODI call-up for the South Africa tour.
2. Rajat Patidar:

Another player that has been rewarded for his consistent performance at the domestic level is Rajat Patidar. He was exceptional in the IPL 2022 for RCB but missed out on the 2023 edition due to injury. But Patidar was pretty consistent in the Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy and Ranji Tournament, which earned him his maiden ODI call. With senior players rested for the upcoming tour, he is likely to make his debut.
3. B Sai Sudharsan:

One surprise inclusion in the team is B. Sai Sudharsan. The left-hander impressed everyone with his performance in the IPL 2023 for the Gujarat Titans. He scored 362 runs in just 8 innings at an average of 51.71 and a strike rate of 141.40 with a best of 96, which came in the final. He didn’t stop there. The left-hander played well on India’s A tour as well and finally broke into the Indian side.
