4 Indians named as ICC announces men's T20I team of the year 2023

ICC has announced the Men’s T20I team of the year 2023.
International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the men’s T20I team of the year 2023. Four Indian cricketers have found their place in the ICC’s selected XI. Despite being a World Cup year, 2023 hosted many T20I games in the calendar year as teams were aiming at ICC T20 World Cup in West Indies and the USA in June this year. One player from the associate nation also has found a place in the team.
Indian players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh have found a place in the ICC Men’s T20I team of the year 2023. Suryakumar Yadav had a terrific T20I year in 2023 and led Indian side to a comfortable series win against Australia and South Africa. Surya has been chosen as skipper of the side. Yashasvi Jaiswal also had an impactful year in T20I cricket along with Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) picked Yashasvi Jasiwal and Phil Salt as their openers. Jaiswal scored 430 runs in 2023 while Phil Salt played a few impactful knocks for England. Nicholas Pooran is the number three batter and wicket-keeper in the side. Pooran scored 384 runs in 13 innings in 2023. Along with Pooran, Suryakumar Yadav and New Zealand’s Mark Chapman are part of the Men’s T20I team of the year 2023.
All-rounder Alpesh Ramjani from Uganda has been picked in the team. Uganda recently made their entry into their maiden ICC event as they qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Alpesh Ramjani contributed to Uganda’s big journey. Ramjani picked up 55 wickets and scored 449 runs in 30 games. Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza is also part of the playing XI as an all-rounder. Raza had a terrific 2023 and played a few brilliant knocks.
Ireland’s Mark Adair has found a place in the playing XI as a pace bowler. Adair took 26 wickets for Ireland in the last year. He also scored 161 runs in 2023. Along with Mark Adair, Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, Zimbabwean pacer Richard Ngarava and Indian left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh are part of the ICC men’s T20I team of the year 2023.
