Narendra Modi stadium, Ahmedabad is hosting IND vs PAK CWC 2023 clash.

Team India and Pakistan are locking horns against each other in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday. And the atmosphere was charged with a sea blue singing Indian national anthem ahead of the start of the play, giving goosebumps.

Both sides came into this match having won their first two matches in the tournament. India defeated Australia and Afghanistan in their opening encounters, while Pakistan defeated Netherlands and Sri Lanka.

Rohit Sharma won the toss in Ahmedabad, and India opted to bowl. Shubman Gill is making his World Cup debut replacing Ishan Kishan in the playing XI.

“We will bowl first, cannot get bigger than this, fantastic atmosphere. Sure lot of us are going to experience something really extraordinary. It's a good track, not going to change much, dew could be a big factor and keeping that in mind, we want to bowl first. We want to keep striving for the best, we want to come out there and give our best in every game.

Keeping the atmosphere in the team relaxed is the most important thing in a tournament like this. Gill is back in place of Ishan, unfortunate for Ishan to miss out, feel for him, he stepped up when we needed him. Gill has been a special player for us over the past year or so, especially at this ground and we wanted him back,” Rohit Sharma said at the toss.

Pakistan, on the other hand, came in unchanged.

Over one lakh spectators chanted national anthem prior to the commencement of IND vs PAK match, which is now taking place in the largest cricket stadium in the world in Ahmedabad. National anthem moved not only the fans but also the players, who began chanting along with them.
