Ajinkya Rahane made his IPL debut in 2008 for Mumbai Indians.
Veteran Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane is regarded as one of the most technical batsmen in Indian cricket. Nicknamed “Jinx,” Ajinkya was an important part of the Indian Test team for years.
He made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut in 2008 for Mumbai Indians (MI). The Mumbai-born right-hander has since moved to several franchises, including Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Rising Pune Supergiants, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Chennai Super Kings.

5. 84* vs Delhi Capitals, 2012, Delhi
2012 was a breakthrough year for Rahane in the IPL. The stylish right-hander finished the season with 560 runs in 16 games at a strike rate of 130.
One of his standout performances that year came against Delhi Capitals in Delhi. Chasing a challenging 152-run target on a tricky wicket, Rahane scored an unbeaten 84 off 63 balls, including nine fours and a six.
Due to some excellent death-over bowling by Delhi bowlers, Rajasthan lost the nail-biting encounter by one run.
4. 91* vs Delhi Capitals, 2015, Brabourne
One of Rahane’s best innings came while playing for Rajasthan Royals against Delhi Capitals at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, in IPL 2015.
Batting first on a batting-friendly pitch, RR’s innings was held together by Rahane, who scored 91* off 54 balls. The opener joined hands with Karun Nair to add 113 runs for the second wicket. His superb knock included nine fours and three sixes.
Rajasthan won the match by 14 runs and Rahane was named Player of the Match for his efforts.
3. 98 vs Punjab Kings, 2012, Jaipur
Opening the innings, Ajinkya Rahane scored a brilliant unbeaten 98-run knock against Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur during IPL 2022.
Thanks to Rahane’s brilliant batting, Rajasthan posted a challenging score of 191/4 on a batting-friendly pitch. The opener smashed 16 fours and a six during his 66-ball stay. He built a 77-run stand with captain Rahul Dravid for the opening wicket, providing the team with a solid foundation.
His innings played a crucial role in Rajasthan’s comprehensive 31-run win.
2. 103* vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru, 2012, Bengaluru
Rahane played a terrific knock of 103* runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru during IPL 2012. Batting first, RR made 195/2 on the back of Rahane’s 103* off 60 balls, which included 12 fours and five sixes.
He held the innings from one end, allowing Owais Shah to smash a quickfire 60 off 26 balls. What makes his innings so special is hitting six consecutive fours in Sreenath Arvind’s over.
Rahane was named Player of the Match in RR’s 59-run win.
1. 105* vs Delhi Capitals, 2019, Jaipur
Ajinkya Rahane registered his highest IPL score of 105* during the 40th match of IPL 2019, playing for Rajasthan Royals against Delhi Capitals in Jaipur.
After being asked to bat first, RR notched up a challenging total of 191/6 on the back of Rahane’s stunning century, which included 11 fours and three sixes. He put on a 130-run partnership with Steve Smith to set the foundation for a big score
Unfortunately, Rajasthan Royals lost the game by six wickets.
