Alex Hales achieves massive record in T20 cricket, joins Chris Gayle & Kieron Pollard in elite list

Former England opener Alex Hales, who is part of Trinbago Knight Riders in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025, scripted a massive record in T20 cricket.
Hales became the third batsman to reach the mark of 14,000 runs in T20 cricket, joining the likes of Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard. The right-handed batsman reached the milestone after he hit a half-century against Guyana Amazon Warriors in 17th match of the tournament.
He scored 74 runs in 43 deliveries to help Knight Riders win the encounter by six wickets. Notably, Hales has become the second highest run-scorer in T20 cricket after Chris Gayle.

Talking about the match, Guyana Amazon Warriors piled up 163/9 in the first innings, with a top knock of 39 runs by Shai Hope. Akeal Hosein clinched a three-wicket haul for Trinbago Knight Riders.
During the chase, openers Alex Hales (74) and Colin Munro (52) smacked half-centuries to lead Riders to victory by six wickets. Hosein won Player of the Match for his three wickets. Hales has shown a wonderful form in the tournament, hitting 210 runs across six games with two fifties.
Meanwhile, Riders hold the top spot in CPL 2025 points table with 10 points. Out of six games, they have won five matches and lost only one encounter. They will next clash with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
Guyana Amazon Warriors have won two games and lost two matches out of four clashes. With four points, they occupy the fourth spot in the points table.
