Ambati Rayudu will play his last IPL game against Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 final.

Chennai Super Kings batter Ambati Rayudu has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League, and the final against Gujarat Titans will be his last game. Chennai Super Kings will be taking on Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. 37-year-old Batter Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement through Twitter. Rayudu has been a magnificent campaigner for Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. He made his IPL debut in 2010 with Mumbai Indians when ICL players were cleared to take part in the Indian Premier League. Rayudu has played 203 games in the IPL and remained a crucial member of both of his franchises.

Rayudu says 'no u-turn'

Right-hand batter Rayudu took to Twitter to announce his retirement and tweeted, “2 great teams, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, 204 matches, 14 seasons, 11 playoffs, 8 finals, 5 trophies, hopefully, 6th tonight. It’s been quite a journey. I have decided that tonight’s final is going to be my last game in the IPL. I truly have enjoyed playing in this great tournament. Thank you all, no ‘u-turn’”. Rayudu announced his retirement once in the previous season as well but he had to backtrack from his decision due to the CSK management’s interventions. This time Rayudu had made it clear by stating that he will be taking ‘no u-turn’ and will be sticking to his decision.
