[Watch] Angry Babar Azam smashes a stump in nets after edging the ball

Babar Azam will be in action against Bangladesh in the first Test on August 21 in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan are gearing up for their next challenge as they will face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series at home. This will be their first international assignment since the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 group exit.
The hosts will be hoping to win this series as it is part of the World Test Championship 2023-25. Pakistan have played two series in this WTC cycle. They won a two-match series against Sri Lanka but lost 3-0 against Australia.
All the eyes will be on the white-ball captain, Babar Azam, who needs to find his touch back as he hasn’t had much success this year. In 20 international innings this year, Babar has not hit a single century.

The white-ball captain is sweating hard at the nets to make the Bangladesh series a memorable one. Babar Azam scored his last international hundred in August 2023 while his last Test century came in December 2022.
Recently, a video featuring the former Test captain went viral. In the video, he is seen kicking a stump in anger after edging a ball in the net session.
In the video, Babar tried to play a shot away from his body and edged it. Frustratingly, he turned back and kicked a stump. Later, he got back, placed the stump and carried on his practice session.
Babar Azam is Pakistan’s premier batter across all three formats. He will be in action on August 21 against Bangladesh in the first Test in Rawalpindi. He is likely to bat at his usual No. 4 slot.
The pitch for the first Test is likely to favour the pacers, which is why Pakistan have picked up a pace-heavy bowling unit comprising four pacers.
