Delhi Capitals have lost seven out of 11 games in IPL 2026.
Delhi Capitals (DC) locked horns with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 51st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on May 8. KKR crushed DC by eight wickets in the encounter, chasing down a 143-run target with ease.
After being asked to bat first, the Axar Patel & Co. displayed a poor batting performance despite the home advantage. Pathum Nissanka (50) and KL Rahul (23) gave a quick start to batting, adding 49 runs in five overs.
However, DC suffered a middle-order collapse, losing Nitish Rana (8), Sameer Rizvi (3), Tristan Stubbs (2), and Axar Patel (11) cheaply. Ashutosh Sharma added crucial 39 runs; however, he could only take the total to 142/8.
In the chase, opener Finn Allen (100*) scored a brutal century for KKR after Ajinkya Rahane (13) lost his wicket early. KKR lost two wickets but Allen and Cameron Green (33*) etched a wonderful partnership to take the team to victory by eight wickets within 15 overs.
