Abrar Ahmed did his trademark head nod celebration after removing Sanju Samson in Asia Cup 2025 final.

After India defeated Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 final, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Jitesh Sharma gave a funny twist to the celebrations. The trio replicated Abrar Ahmed’s famous head-tilt, which the Pakistan spinner demonstrated earlier in the match after dismissing Sanju Samson.

This was the third time India defeated Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025. India had defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the group stage, after restricting them to 127/9. In the Super Four stage, Pakistan made 171/5, but Abhishek Sharma’s 74 and Shubman Gill’s 47 made light of the chase, as India won by six wickets.

In the final, India chose to field first, limiting Pakistan to 146 after Sahibzada Farhan scored 57 and Fakhar Zaman scored 46. A Pakistani collapse from 113/1 was caused by Kuldeep Yadav’s 4/30, which was supported by two apiece from Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel.

Before Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma, and Shivam Dube stabilized the pursuit, India fell to 20/3. The Suryakumar Yada-led side won by five wickets, thanks to Tilak’s undefeated 69 and Rinku Singh’s game-winning stroke.

Pakistani spinner Abrar Ahmed had trolled Sanju Samson after dismissing him for 24 runs after he had added 57 runs with Tilak Varma to stem the fall of wickets from 20/3. Samson had played brilliant shots, hitting two fours and one six.

Abrar’s celebration occurred in the 13th over, when he turned to the bench with a confident tilt of the head, signaling dominance after taking Samson’s wicket. The move rapidly drew attention and generated conversation among admirers.

After India won the trophy, Arshdeep, Harshit, and Jitesh performed the identical motion, directing it jokingly at Samson. Their performance was playful but mischievous, virtually mirroring Abrar’s jubilation.

Here’s the video:

Tilak Varma won Player of the Match for his 69* with three fours and four sixes. Kuldeep Yadav was named MVP of the tournament as he took 17 wickets. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma was adjudged Player of the Tournament for scoring 314 runs with a strike rate of 200 and three fifties.
