Arshdeep Singh clinched two wickets in the third IND vs SA T20I in Dharamsala on Sunday, December 14.

Indian Cricket Team pacer Arshdeep Singh played a key role in team’s victory in the third T20I against South Africa Cricket Team on Sunday, December 14. The left-arm pacer clinched two wickets for 13 runs across his four-over spell, as India crushed South Africa by seven wickets at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Right from the start, Arshdeep dominated the Proteas with his line and lengths. In the first over, he dismissed Reeza Hendricks for a duck, giving the first blow to the visitors. In the powerplay over, he and Harshit Rana reduced Proteas to 25/3, with the latter clinching two scalps.

South Africa struggled completely against India’s bowling attack, with key batters losing their wickets for single digits. Captain Aiden Markram scored the lone half-century for the side; however, he was also dismissed by Arshdeep in the 19th over.

“When I walked into this ground, everyone was telling me that this is also my home ground. I told them this isn’t my home ground. That felt better. I stuck to the basics and did the basics right. Trusting my skill sets. Whenever you are playing at this level, you are bound to have off days. It was a rare off day when I couldn’t execute what I wanted. So it feels nice to do this,” he stated.
