Arshdeep Singh revealed Morne Morkel has found an innovative way to end the training session.
The Indian Cricket Team and the England Cricket Team are clashing in a five-match test series. Both teams are preparing for the upcoming second test, which will begin from July 2 at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
India bowling coach Morne Morkel has a huge responsibility on his hands ahead of the second test following India’s dismal show with the ball in the opening game. Indian bowlers failed to defend a 371-run target as England won by five wickets with a century by opener Ben Duckett (149).
Notably, Indian bowlers also struggled to dominate England in the first innings, as the hosts piled up 465/10 in response to India’s 471/10. While Jasprit Bumrah clinched a five-wicket haul, other pacers struggled to support him.
Why were Arshdeep Singh, Akash Deep, and Morne Morkel wrestling in the nets during training sessions?
Hence, India bowlers are toiling hard in the training sessions with bowling coach Morkel to make a comeback in the second test. In a recent video, bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep were seen wrestling with Morkel during training sessions.
Later, Arshdeep revealed that Morkel has found an innovative way to conclude the training. He has told them he will pin them down when their session is over. Have a look at the video below.
Meanwhile, left-arm pacer Arshdeep has been seen training hard at Edgbaston Cricket Stadium. Hence, he might make his test debut in the second test. Singh earned his maiden test call-up for the India’s tour of England 2025. The 26-year-old has played nine ODIs and 63 T20Is so far.
The Ben Stokes & Co. lead the five-match series 1-0 after winning the first test. Jofra Archer has been added to the hosts’ squad for the second game, making his return to the tests after four years. They also have a spectacular record against India at Edgbaston. Out of eight games at the venue, England have defeated India in seven games, and one ended in a draw.
