Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson is one of the most enigmatic characters in Indian cricket. Despite being a decent performer, the wicket-keeper has failed to cement his place in the Indian playing XI in the limited overs formats. Sanju Samson is a star Indian batter with a huge fan-following as Rajasthan Royals skipper in the Indian Premier League.

Sanju’s Rajasthan Royals teammate Ravichandran Ashwin has praised his skipper and revealed that he is one of the extremely funny characters away from the field. Sanju Samson is perceived as one of the most serious and composed players on the field. Samson doesn’t lose his calm in any situation. Ashwin said that it is the problem of ‘perfection’ that people struggle with while looking at someone.

Ashwin talks about his IPL skipper

While speaking to IPL official TV broadcaster Star Sports, Ravi Ashwin said, “Sanju is extremely funny off the field. I am not sure a lot of people understand that or probably know that. It’s a problem of perfection a lot of people battle how you see someone on the ground and how they are off it, it’s completely different.”

Recently, a clip featuring Sanju Samson went viral on social media. In the clip, Samson is seen playing cricket with a specially-abled kid. Everyone loved Samson’s gesture of love and affection. Earlier, he met with one of his fans on the sidelines of a Ranji Trophy game while representing Kerala. Sanju Samson is set to lead Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024. The gloveman took the Royals to the IPL final in the 2023 season.

Ravi Ashwin is set to play his 100th test match for India in the upcoming fifth test against England at HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. Ashwin recently became the ninth international bowler to pick up more than 500 test wickets. He became second Indian bowler to complete the milestone. India and England will play the fifth test match in Dharamshala starting from 7th March.
