Asia Cup 2023 commentary panel revealed; Ravi Shastri, Gautam Gambhir included

Asia Cup final will be played on 17th September at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The stage is getting ready for the upcoming Asian battle in Pakistan and Sri Lanka later this month. The 6-team tournament will begin on 30th August with hosts Pakistan taking on new entrant Nepal at Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan. The Commentary panel has been named for the upcoming Asia Cup. The panel consists of former legendary world cricket giants like Wasim Akram, Ravi Shastri, Gautam Gambhir, and Ramiz Raja. The 12-member commentary panel has been named to give their thoughts on Asia’s biggest event. The final of the tournament will be played on 17th September at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Big names in Asia Cup Commentary panel
Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Bazid Khan, and Ramiz Raja will be part of the panel from Pakistan. Former India coach Ravi Shastri will be joined by Sanjay Manjrekar, Gautam Gambhir, Deep Dasgupta, and Irfan Pathan in the panel from India. Russell Arnold will be there from Sri Lanka; Athar Ali Khan will represent Bangladesh; and from New Zealand, former All-rounder Scott Styris will hold the mic. Star Sports will be broadcasting all the matches of the Asia Cup live in the Indian Subcontinent. Eyeing the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, the tournament will be played in a 50-over format.
India will open their campaign against Pakistan on 2nd September at Pallekele Cricket Stadium in Kandy. There are possibilities of three big India vs Pakistan clashes before they take on each other in the big business clash in Ahmedabad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup. Pakistan and India are placed in Group A along with Nepal. After the group round encounter, India and Pakistan are almost certain to meet in the super 4 round on 10th September at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. If they both manage to qualify for the final, they will play for the Asia Cup title, making three clashes in the tournament.
Along with India, Pakistan, and Nepal in Group A, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are also part of the tournament. They are placed in Group B, and this group will be the most uncertain and hard-fought one in the tournament. Sri Lanka are the defending champions of the Asia Cup, while India won the last 50-over Asia Cup event in 2018, defeating Bangladesh in the final in Dubai. The tournament will be played in a hybrid host model, with Sri Lanka and Pakistan both hosting the tournament on two of their grounds. From Sri Lanka, Kandy and Colombo were picked as hosts, while Multan and Lahore were picked as hosts from Pakistan.
