IND vs SL finals of Asia Cup 2023 ended with India wining the tournament for record 7th time.

Team India decimated Sri Lankan in Asia Cup 2023 finals at R Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo. In a one-sided affair, team India lifted their 7th 50-overs Asia Cup title. Right-arm pacer Mohammed Siraj bowled a match-winning spell and picked up six wickets from his seven-over spell. Sri Lanka were curtailed by just 50 runs in 15 overs. Indian openers Ishan Kishan (23) and Shubman Gill (27) chased down the lowest total in an international final in just 6.1 overs. This was Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s second 50-overs Asia Cup title.

Kuldeep and Siraj earn big

Mohammed Siraj got awarded Player of the Match for his 6-wickets spell. Siraj became only the first Indian bowler bowler in one-day internationals to pick up four wickets in an over. Siraj won 5000 US dollars in cash prizes, and he donated the entire amount to the ground staff in Kandy and Colombo to make sure Asia Cup action happened even in the monsoon season in the country. Ravindra Jadeja won the cash prize of 3000 US dollars as he took the catch of the match to dismiss opener Pathum Nissanka.
