India will face Pakistan in their first match of Super Four round of Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday in Colombo.

Before the big World Cup game at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, India and Pakistan are ready to take on each other once again in the Asia Cup 2023. Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium is set to host the high-voltage clash between the two Asian giants. Their previous meeting was a complete wash-out in the second innings as rain interrupted the game and the second innings was not played at Pallekele Stadium in Kandy. This will be India’s first game in the super 4 round, while Pakistan have already earned two points in this stage with a win against Bangladesh in Lahore.

According to weather.com, once again there is a rain prediction for the India vs Pakistan clash At R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. According to the precipitation index, there is significant chances of rain as the index goes above 90% throughout the day on Sunday. The temperature is likely to remain under 30 and may stay around 28° C at the highest to 24° C at the lowest during the game. It will be a 3 PM start in Sri Lanka, and conditions might be damp as the city has witnessed persistent rain in the last week and is expected to witness more in the coming week.

Asian Cricket Council have decided to keep a reserve day for this big game in Asia Cup tournament. This will be the only game in the super 4 round that will have a reserve day in case of rain. The ongoing Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh encounter gives a lot of hope, as the sun has come out in Colombo and so far the weather looks clear for the day. A bit of cloud cover came in between, but it is building up for showers or thunderstorms to interrupt the proceedings. Rain caused interruptions in both of India’s games so far in Asia Cup 2023.

Pakistan's bowlers were at their best against the Indian top-order in their previous meeting. Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf picked up four early wickets in the Indian innings to give Pakistan early breakthroughs in the innings. Indian middle-order had a great game as Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya added 138 runs for the fifth wicket. Team India will be hoping their bowlers get game time before entering the World Cup 2023 against their arch-rivals. Jasprit Bumrah and wicket-keeper KL Rahul are ready for their comebacks in the playing XI.
