Bangladesh defeated India by six runs in the last Super Four clash of Asia Cup 2023.

In the last game of super four stage, Bangladesh emerged victorious by a margin of six runs against India. Bangladesh batted first, putting up a total of 265/8 in their 50 overs. Skipper Shakib Al hasan played a pivotal role, scoring 80 runs. Towhid Hridoy was another key contributor, notching up 54 runs. India's bowlers struggled against the Bangladeshi batsmen, with Shardul Thakur being the most successful, claiming three wickets.

India, while chasing the target, made a spirited effort but eventually fell short by six runs, finishing at 259-10 in 49.5 overs. Shubman Gill was the standout performer for India, scoring 121 runs, while Axar Patel's late attack of 42 raised hopes of a victory. However, Bangladesh's bowlers, led by Mustafizur Rahman, held their nerve to secure the win. Mustafizur ended with three wickets, while Shakib and Mahedi Hasan Miraz chipped in with crucial dismissals.
