Asia Cup 2025 future all set to be decided as tiff over ACC meeting solved, BCCI set to take part through online mode - Reports

The reserved window for the Asia Cup 2025 is from September 10 to 28.
The Annual General Meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will go as planned as tiff over the venue of the meeting has been solved, as per the reports in Cricbuzz. The meeting will take place in Dhaka as it was scheduled earlier.
The reports claimed that all the stakeholders in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) have seemed to reach an agreement on several issues.
The ACC meeting will be taking place on Thursday (July 24) and the decision related to the Asia Cup 2025 will be taken as well. Mohsin Naqvi and Pakistan Super League SL CEO Salman Naseer have arrived in Bangladesh and also, members of the ACB will be reaching there too.

But, the BCCI won’t be going to Bangladesh and their members will be attending the meeting online. It is learned that differences over the AGM’s agenda have been solved as well as compromise has been reached on this front as well between the stakeholders.
There was also election for the vice-president of the ACC scheduled to take place. It has been postponed but the reports claimed that Mumbashir Usmani of UAE (Emirates Cricket Board) and Mahinda Vallipuram of Malaysia are in the fray.
BCB interim head Aminul Islam talked about the controversies surrounding the ACC meeting. He said:
“The ACC is an organisation that operates with five full members from Asia and 25 associate countries. The ACC asked us whether we wanted to host the AGM and we agreed to it. This is an ACC programme, and we will only provide logistical support,” he told Cricbuzz.
