Asia Cup 2025: Most runs, most wickets after Super Four match 1, SL vs BAN

Super Match 1 of Asia Cup 2025, SL vs BAN, took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh Cricket Team outplayed Sri Lanka Cricket Team by four wickets in the Super Four match 1 of Asia Cup 2025. The match between the two teams took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Saturday (20th September).
Chasing the target of 169 runs, Bangladesh lost opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim for a duck in the first over. However, Saif Hassan (61) and Towhid Hridoy (58) hammered fifties to drive the team to victory by four wickets.
For Sri Lanka, Wanindu Hasaranga and Dasun Shanaka captured two wickets each, while Nuwan Thushara and Dushmantha Chameera got one wicket.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Litton Das won the toss and opted to bowl first. Sri Lanka openers Pathum Nissanka (22) and Kusal Mendis (34) gave a wonderful start with an opening stand of 44 runs off five overs.
Later, Dasun Shanaka hammered a quickfire half-century, hitting an unbeaten 64 runs off 37 deliveries. Charith Asalanka added 21 runs to power the scoreboard to 168/7. For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman clinched a three-wicket haul. Mahedi Hasan got two scalps, while Taskin Ahmed picked one wicket.

Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka, who scored 22 runs in the match, is the leading run-scorer of Asia Cup 2025 with 146 runs. With his half-century in the clash, Bangladesh’s Towhid Hridoy now grabs the second spot with 127 runs. Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis (122) and Litton Das (119) of Bangladesh are next on the list. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi occupies the fifth spot with 108 runs.

Pakistan’s Saim Ayub and Sri Lanka’s Nuwan Thushara are next with six wickets each.
