Asia Cup 2025: Most runs, most wickets after Super Four match 6, IND vs SL

Super Four Match 6 of Asia Cup 2025, IND vs SL, took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
Indian Cricket Team and Sri Lanka Cricket Team collided with each other in the last match of the Super Four round in Asia Cup 2025 on Friday, September 26. In the thrilling clash, India defeated Sri Lanka in the super over as the Charith Asalanka-led side could only score two runs, which the Men in Blue chased on first ball.
India were asked to bat first in the match and it wasn’t a great start for them with opener Shubman Gill (4) losing his wicket cheaply in the second over. However, Abhishek Sharma (61) came up with another marvellous knock in the tournament. Hitting his third consecutive half-century, he provided his team with another brutal start.
Later, Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson followed up on his blistering start, hitting 49 runs and 39 runs respectively. India ended with 202/5 on the scoreboard, becoming the first team to score above 200 in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025.
During the chase, Sri Lanka faced a big blow in the first over, losing Kusal Mendis for a duck. However, Pathum Nissanka (107) and Kusal Perera (58) etched a spectacular stand of 127 runs for the second wicket. Indian bowlers looked completely helpless against the duo, who hit them all over the park.
Nissanka went on to score a century in the match, putting Sri Lanka in the driver’s seat during the chase. The thrilling clash went to the final over, where Sri Lanka needed 12 runs for victory. However, the match ended in a tie and went to a super over, with Sri Lanka also finishing with 202/5 on the scoreboard.

With his half-century against Sri Lanka, Abhishek Sharma continues to be the leading run-scorer of Asia Cup 2025 with 309 runs. Pathum Nissanka, who slammed a century in the clash, has moved to the second spot with 261 runs. Bangladesh’s Saif Hasan and Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan are next batters of the list. Sri Lanka’s Kusal Perera occupies the fifth place with 146 runs.
