Eight teams will battle for the title in Asia Cup 2025.
Asia Cup 2025 will commence on September 9 and witness a battle between eight teams for the title. India, Pakistan, Oman, UAE, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong will clash during the tournament, which will witness the final on September 28.
Unlike the last edition in 2023, this year’s Asia Cup will be played in T20I format and serve as a platform for teams to prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup next year. India will enter the tournament as defending champions as they won the previous edition of the tournament defeating Sri Lanka in the final.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are two venues that will host the games of Asia Cup 2025. India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman are part of Group A in the tournament, while Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong are placed in Group B.
According to the format, each team will face other teams of their pool once during the group stage, playing a total of three games. After the end of the group stage, the top two teams from each group will reach the Super Four round, where each team will play other three teams once to decide the two finalists.
With few more days to go for the tournament, some teams have already named their squads while some are yet to announce. Let’s take a look at squads of all teams announced so far.
