Asia Cup 2025: List of teams who have qualified for Super Four

Eight teams were divided into two groups and top two teams from each group qualified for Super Four of Asia Cup 2025.
Asia Cup 2025 was to be hosted by India, but was moved to a neutral venue, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), due to hostilities with Pakistan. The tournament began on September 9, with the final scheduled for September 28.
Eight teams are participating in the tournament, separated into two groups. Group A has India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B has Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong. With the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 in focus, the Asia Cup 2025 is being played in T20 format.
After the group stage games, the top two teams from each group move to the Super Four stage, where all four teams play each other once, and the top two teams with the most wins move to the final, to be played in Dubai.
In this piece, let’s have a look at the teams that qualified for the Super Four stage of Asia Cup 2025:
1. India

India reigned supreme in Group A, where they had the challenge of facing Pakistan, the UAE, and Oman. India played their first two matches against the UAE and Pakistan in Dubai, while their third match against Oman is scheduled in Abu Dhabi. India began their Asia Cup 2025 against the UAE in Dubai on September 10. UAE was bowled out for 57 runs, thanks to Kuldeep Yadav’s 4/7 and Shivam Dube taking three wickets. India chased down the total in 4.3 overs thanks to 31 from Abhishek Sharma and 20 from Shubman Gill.
In their second game, India faced Pakistan, who managed 127/9 in 20 overs, with Sahibzada Farham top-scoring with 40 and Shaheen Afridi making 33*. Kuldeep Yadav once again starred with 3/18. In response, India won by seven wickets; Suryakumar Yadav made 47* after Abhishek Sharma had smoked 31 in 13 balls, and Tilak Varma stabilized the innings with 31 runs.
They became the first team to confirm their spot in the Super Four stage after the UAE defeated Oman in their group stage encounter.
2. Pakistan

Pakistan started their Asia Cup 2025 campaign against Oman. The Men in Green posted 160/7, with Mohammad Haris making 66. In response, Oman was bowled out for 67, with three bowlers taking two wickets each, and Saim Ayub starring with 2/8. In their second game, Pakistan was steamrolled by India in a controversial encounter.
Pakistan did well to post 127/9 in 20 overs with Sahibzada Farhan making 40, while Kuldeep Yadav routed them with 3/18. In response, Suryakumar Yadav’s 47* and Abhishek Sharma’s 13-ball 31 ensured India won by seven wickets. In their final Group B match, after much drama, Pakistan faced UAE and struggled to put up 146/9, with Fakhar Zaman scoring 50, while Junaid Siddique took 4/18. In response, Shaheen Afridi’s 2/16 helped Pakistan rout the UAE for 105 runs and win by 41 runs.
They became the second team to confirm their spot in the Super Four stage after they defeated the UAE in their last group stage encounter on Wednesday, 17th September.
3. Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka proved to be the best team from group B as they won all three of their matches. They started by defeating Bangladesh, who were restricted to 139/5 in 20 overs thanks to Jaker Ali and Shamim Hossain’s scores in the 40s. Sri Lanka chased down the total easily, thanks to 50 by Pathum Nissanka and 46* by Kamil Mishara, winning by six wickets.
Next, they faced Hong Kong, who were restricted to 149/4 in 20 overs, with Anshuman Rath making 49. Pathum Nissanka top-scored with 68 as Sri Lanka chased the total with four wickets in hand. In their final game against Afghanistan, it was a must-win match for them. Afghanistan posted 169/8 thanks to 60 by Mohammad Nabi, while Nuwan Thushara took 4/18. In response, Kusal Mendis made 74* and Kusal Perera made 28 as Sri Lanka won the game by six wickets.
They became first team from group B and overall third team to qualify for Super Four round of the tournament once they crossed the 110-run mark against Afghanistan in their third and final game of the group stage.
4. Bangladesh

Bangladesh had to wait for their fate until the Sri Lanka vs. Afghanistan match. Bangladesh had defeated Hong Kong in their first match. They had restricted HK to 143/7, where Nizakat Khan made 42. In response, Litton Das shined with 59, as Bangladesh won by 7 wickets. In their second match, they were defeated by Sri Lanka, as Bangladesh made 139/5 batting first, thanks to Jaker Ali and Shamin Hossain’s 42* and 41*, respectively. But 50 by Pathum Nissanka enabled Sri Lanka to chase the total with six wickets in hand.
In their final group game, Bangladesh scored 154/5 against Afghanistan, with Tanzi Hasan making 52. Afghanistan gave a good chase, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz making 35 and Azmatullah Omarzai making 30. But Bangladesh held their nerves to win the game by 8 runs, thanks to 3/28 by Mustafizur Rahman.
And when Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan in the final group B match, Bangladesh qualified for the Super Four round.
