Australian bowler dethrones Mohammed Siraj as No. 1 bowler in latest ICC ODI rankings

Mohammed Siraj is no longer the No. 1 ranked ICC ODI bowler.

The tournament is getting more intense, with all the games being virtually must-wins for the team. But the performances in the first week of the tournament have brought changes in the latest ODI rankings.
The latest ICC rankings were announced on Wednesday, and it saw some big changes in both batters and bowlers rankings. No. 1 ranked ODI batter Babar Azam, who has been at the top for almost three years now, has come close to losing his first spot. He is just five rating points away from No. 2 ranked ODI batter Shubman Gill. It has also seen some big changes in the bowlers' rankings.
Mohammed Siraj slips one spot down; Josh Hazlewood becomes the No. 1 ranked ODI bowler
The bowler's ranking saw a big change as Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj, who was at the top of the rankings, saw a downfall. He has been dethroned from his top position. And it is Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood who has become the new No. 1 ranked ODI bowler. These two pacers came face-to-face in the game in Chennai.
Siraj picked up 1/26 while Hazlewood finished with 3/38, which earned him the top spot. Hazlewood is at the top with 682 rating points, while Mohammed Siraj is second with 664 rating points. The Inidan pacer can still catch up if he can deliver some good performances in the coming games. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav, who took 2/42 against Australia, has jumped one spot up to 8 now.

Trent Boult is third on the list with 650 points. On the other hand, Virat Kohli, who had a brilliant game and scored 85 runs in the chase, moved up one spot to 7 in batsmen rankings. In the bowler's ranking, Siraj and Kuldeep are in the top two. Jasprit Bumrah is at No. 21, and Mohammed Shami is at No. 25. Team India are taking on Afghanistan in their second game of the tournament in Delhi.
