Day 3 of the Adelaide test of The Ashes 2025-26 will take place on Friday, December 19.
The Australian Cricket Team have continued with their dominance against the England Cricket Team (AUS vs ENG) in the third test of The Ashes 2025-26, which commenced on December 17 (Wednesday) at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.
Pat Cummins, who returned to captain the side in the third game after missing the first two matches, won the toss and opted to bat first. With a century by Alex Hales (106), the hosts were bowled out for 371 runs in the first innings, with additional help from Usman Khawaja (82) and Mitchell Starc (54).
Jofra Archer picked up a five-wicket haul to halt Australia from going big with the bat. However, Ben Stokes & Co. failed to showcase their dominance with the bat, piling up 213/8 at the stumps of day 2. Key batters like Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, and Joe Root failed to come up with powerful batting performances.
However, Harry Brook (45) and Ben Stokes (45*) added crucial runs on the board, but no England batter has managed to score a fifty so far. At the end of day 2, Stokes and Jofra Archer took the crease, with England trailing by 158 runs.

So far, Australia have managed to dominate England in the clash, and it will be interesting to know if the latter can make a comeback in the next three days.
