The three match AUS vs IND ODI series will be played from October 19.

Former Australia captain Michael Clarke has upped the excitement for the upcoming Australia Vs. India ODI series. The three-ODI series between the two teams will begin in Perth on October 19. The second ODI will be played in Adelaide on October 23, and the final match in Sydney on October 25.

Australia will be missing their captain Pat Cummins, who is dealing with a back injury, while India will be under a new ODI captain in Shubman Gill. India will also welcome back veteran batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who last played for India in March in ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

High-caliber cricket has always resulted from the two countries’ rivalry, and this forthcoming ODI series promises to be another captivating chapter in their lengthy history.

Michael Clarke predicts the series scoreline

Michael Clarke, the former captain of Australia, has commented on the eagerly awaited series and shared his prediction for its conclusion.

Speaking on his “Beyond23 Cricket Podcast,” the World Cup-winning captain predicted that his team would defeat India 2-1, but he acknowledged that, given India’s strength and balance, the series might go either way.

Is there a washout? If there’s no rain, I’m saying 2-1 Australia. I think it’s going to be tight. So, I’m going 2-1 Aussies. I’ll stick with that, but I’m not confident. It’s 2-1 one way. I’m going to the Aussies. I’m going hard,” Clarke said with a grin.

Clarke also lauded India’s depth, describing their spin attack and middle order as “world-class.” India’s adaptability will be put to the test in Australia, he continued, but he was optimistic that the host team’s experience with the pace and bounce will tip the scales somewhat in their favor.

Michael Clarke picks the leading run-scorer in the ODI series

Clarke continued with sharing his thoughts on the India Vs. Australia ODI series and named his pick for who might dominate the run charts during the series.

Citing the benefit of batting in the middle order in Australian conditions, Clarke selected Kohli and Rohit as the leading candidates to lead the batting total; however, he leaned slightly in favor of Kohli.

Well, in my opinion, it’s one of Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli. I’ve just got this thing—if it is their last trip to Australia, they’ll want to leave on a high. I think batting at number three or four is probably a little bit easier in Australia than opening because Rohit will open, so I’m going to go with Virat Kohli, the leading run-scorer,” Clarke said.

Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli boast of amazing records in ODIs in Australia. Rohit has accumulated 990 runs against the Aussies at an impressive average of 58.23, including four centuries. Kohli, on the other hand, has notched 802 runs at an average of 41.17, with three tons and five fifties.

Who will the AUS vs IND ODI series according to Michael Clarke?

Michael Clarke has predicted Australia to win the three-match ODI series 2-1.

When will AUS vs IND ODI series begin?

The three-match AUS vs IND ODI series will begin on 19th October, 2025.
