Dewald Brevis made 125* against Australia in the second T20I in Darwin.
The second T20I between Australia and South Africa, played at the Marara Oval in Darwin, witnessed Dewald Brevis dismantling the Australian attack with a blistering 41-ball century.
Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and opted to bowl first. Contributions from Aiden Markram (18), Ryan Rickelton (14), and Lhuan-dre Pretorius (10) followed, but South Africa slipped to 57/3 in 6.5 overs.
At that point, Brevis took control, forging a vital 126-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Tristan Stubbs. Brevis reached his fifty off just 25 deliveries, striking two fours and five sixes. Stubbs made 31 with three boundaries before attempting a big hit off Adam Zampa, only to be caught by Matthew Kuhnemann. With few batting partners remaining, Brevis moved into top gear.
He continued to pepper the boundaries, bringing up his maiden T20I hundred in just his ninth T20I appearance, reaching the milestone in 41 balls.

Brevis finished unbeaten on 125 off 56 deliveries, laced with 12 fours and eight sixes, powering South Africa to their highest T20I total against Australia—218/7 in 20 overs. Ben Dwarshuis and Glenn Maxwell picked up two wickets each for the hosts.
Nicknamed ‘Baby AB’ in reference to South African legend and his hero AB de Villiers, much has been expected of Brevis since his IPL debut as an 18-year-old in 2022.
Thanks to this knock, Dewald Brevis also became the youngest South African to score a century in T20Is. Brevis, at 22 years and 105 days old, broke the record of Richard Levi, who was 24 years and 34 days old when he smashed a T20I ton against New Zealand in 2012.
David Miller comes next, whose century against Bangladesh in 2017 came when he was 28 years and 114 days old. Quinton de Kock follows next, as he scored his first T20I century when he was 30 years and 99 days old.
