AUS-W vs IND-W: RCB's Sayali Satghare produces an UNPLAYABLE ball in one-off Test against Australia (Video)

On a challenging day for India, the debutant Sayali Satghare’s brilliant delivery caught the eye of many.

India Women are on the tour Australia with the only Test Match, which began on March 6, underway. On Day 1 of the only Test Match, one moment that is currently trending on social media is India’s pace bowler Sayali Satghare’s delivery.

In Alyssa Healy’s farewell series for Australia, India women started the tour with an extraordinary T20I series win. The ODI series was however, a different story altogether. The hosts thrashed the newly crowned ODI World Champions 3-0 with Healy being the star performer. In the final match of the tour, which is the one-off Test, one moment of brilliance from Sayali Satghare has been the highlight.

Sayali Satghare bowls an unplayed delivery to Georgia Voll in AUS-W vs IND-W

In Australia’s first innings of the pink ball test, pacer Sayali Satghare was handed the new ball along with Kranti Gaud. Sayali did not disappoint her captain, striking in the third over. The medium pacer cleaned up Aussie opener Georgia Voll with a peach of a delivery. 

Sayali Satghare used the new ball under the lights to her help. In her second over, Sayali bowled an inswing delivery to Georgia Voll. Voll came forward to defend it, but Satghare found the gap between bat and pad as the ball slid through to take out leg stump.

This moment of brilliance from Sayali Satghare became trending as the fans took to the social media with praise. Sayali also took the wicket of Australia’s outgoing captain Alyssa Healy. Handed the new ball by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Sayali did not disappoint. 

Apart from Sayali, Pratika Rawal, Kranti Gaud and Kashvee Gautam were also given their Test debut. Put into bat by the hosts, India got bowled out for 198 in the 63rd over of the innings. 

Jemimah Rodrigues was the top scorer with a gritty half-century. Shafali Verma and Kashvee Gautam scored 35 and 33 respectively before getting bundled out. All-rounder Annabel Sutherland picked up 4 wickets for Australia. 

In a somewhat difficult Day 1 for Team India, Sayali Satghare’s moment of glory was one of the highlights of the day.
