New look Australia T20I jersey revealed ahead of five-match T20I series against India

The first T20I between India and Australia will be played in Vishakapatnam on November 23.

Australia unveiled their new look jersey ahead of the upcoming five-match T20I series against India. Just days after winning the Cricket World Cup 2023, the champions will clash with the hosts starting November 23, 2023.

India and Australia will play 5 T20Is with the matches to be played on November 23 in Vizag, November 26 in Thiruvananthapuram, November 28 in Guwahati, December 1 in Raipur, and December 3 in Bengaluru.

Australia have rested the majority of their squad which played in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, but there are some players who will take part in this T20I series, which will be captained by Matthew Wade. The likes of Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Tanveer Sangha, Matt Short, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, and Kane Richardson have been included in the squad.

Australia unveil new dark green colored jersey

Ahead of the commencement of the five-match T20I series, Australia unveiled a new look jersey for the series which has a theme of dark green colors. This kit incorporates First Nations artwork and Australia have done away with the black kit for T20 internationals and will don green, the will be the first time the side will wear a green uniform in the shortest format. 

It’s a collarless T in a deep bottle green shade with yellow under sleeves and an indigenous art pattern on the waist. The previous one was yellow with a big art pattern on the front and black sleeves.

This T20I kit will be donned by the Australian team for the rest of the 2023-24 season as they move from ODIs to T20I format keeping in mind the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies and USA.

Australia T20I squad:

Matthew Wade (Captain), Aaron Hardie, Jason Behrendorff, and Sean Abbott. Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Tanveer Sangha, Matt Short, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, Kane Richardson, and Adam Zampa.
