Australia to tour South Africa for ODI & Test series in Sept-Oct; Here's full schedule

South Africa will face Australia for the first time since winning the last WTC title.
Australia are set to tour South Africa for an ODI and test series later this year. Three ODI games and an equal number of Tests will be played during this tour. Notably, this will be Australia‘s first tour in South Africa since 2018, when the infamous sandpaper gate incident happened.
The SA vs AUS test series 2026 will be part of ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-26, where Australia currently grab the top spot with a win percentage (PCT) of 87.50. They won a three-match test series against West Indies last year and bagged a marvellous 4-1 victory in The Ashes 2025-26 in January.
South Africa, the defending champions of World Test Championship, have won three games and lost one out of four in the current WTC cycle. Following a 1-1 draw in a test series against Pakistan in their first campaign in October last year, they bagged a clean sweep against India in a two-match series in November.
The test series will bring back the memories of the WTC 2023-25 final at the Lord’s, where the Temba Bavuma & Co. outplayed Australia by five wickets. With their home advantage and fabulous form in the ongoing WTC cycle, they are expected to dominate the Pat Cummins & Co.
Notably, the ODI series between South Africa and Australia will be played in September, while the test series will be conducted in October. The three ODI games will take place on September 24, 27, and 30.
The test series will commence on October 9 with the opening game. The second test will be played from October 18 to 22, followed by the final match from October 27 to 31.
