Babar Azam will lead Pakistan in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.

Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam was fined by Punjab Motorway police for over-speeding on the road. This comes ahead of Pakistan team’s departure to India for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 tournament, which begins on October 5, 2023.

Reports have suggested that Babar Azam was first stopped for speeding and lane violations when the traffic personnel realised that he was driving without a license. According to the traffic police, national cricket team skipper was fined Rs 2,000 on September 17 in Lahore’s Gulberg.

A photo of Babar Azam in a black vest and shorts, wearing slippers, and talking to a traffic policeman has gone viral on social media. His Audi car can also be seen in the background. It's worth noting that this isn't the first time that Babar Azam's vehicle has been pulled over by the traffic police.

Earlier this year, Babar Azam was stopped for not having a valid number plate but was let off by the police with a stern warning.
