Pakistan skipper Babar Azam picked his favorite batter.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam has named three batters who are his favorites in the world of cricket, which include India’s Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Although India and Pakistan have undoubtedly had the greatest rivalry in cricket, Babar expressed his admiration for India's two top-quality batters. Both batters have scored the most runs in the present World Cup, with Virat scoring 354 in 5 innings and Rohit scoring 352 in the same amount of innings.

Kane Williamson of New Zealand was also on Babar's list. Williamson's calm and collected demeanor has made him a fan favorite. His season has been marred by injuries, but he is set to return in Kiwis' last games.

"Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Kane Williamson are my favorite batters in the world. They're the top players in the world. They read the conditions well, that's why they are the best. I admire them. The best thing I like about Virat, Rohit, and Kane is how they get the team out of difficult situations and score runs against tough bowling. This is what I try to learn from them," Babar told Star Sports.

India and New Zealand are both on the verge of qualifying for the semi-finals of the tournament.

Pakistan getting ready to face Bangladesh in their 7th match of the CWC 2023

Meanwhile, Pakistan lost their fourth match in a row in the tournament. They were heartbroken after South Africa's last pair of Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi managed to a win by one wicket in Chennai.

Babar has been one of the finest batters of this age to grace the cricket pitch, but his efforts with the bat have been insufficient in the current World Cup. In Pakistan's one-wicket loss against South Africa, he scored 50 in difficult conditions to help the team to a competitive total.

Pakistan will next face Bangladesh on Tuesday at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
