Salman Agha’s run out in second BAN vs PAK ODI became the trending topic.
Following a poor outing at T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan travelled to Bangladesh to play a three-match ODI series. The series serve as a great preparation ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup 2027. The first ODI was comfortably won by Bangladesh, who bowled out the visitors for just 114.
However, Pakistan made a strong comeback in the next match to level the series. They scored 274 runs up front, thanks Maaz Sadaqat’s 75 and Salman Ali Agha’s 64. Mohammad Rizwan too contributed with a 44-run knock.
The second innings was interrupted by rain, but Pakistani pacers led by Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi, alongside the left-arm orthodox of Sadaqat, helped bowl out the home team for just 114 runs.
The deciding match will be played on Sunday, March 15, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
ICC penalises Salman Agha after controversial dismissal in second BAN vs PAK ODI

Salman Agha found himself caught in a massive controversy. At the 39th over mark, Rizwan nudged a ball back to the bowler Mehidy Hasan Miraz. The ball dribbled back to the non-striker batter. Agha, who was outside the crease at the time, tried to pick the ball and hand it over to the bowler, whilst the ball was still in play.
The Bangladeshi bowler used his presence of mind, and quickly picked the ball and scored a direct hit, to catch Salman short of his crease. This went down as a huge controversial dismissal with many accusing the Bangladeshi players of lacking sportsmanship spirit, but they were in their rights to affect the dismissal.
The Pakistani T20I skipper was visibly unhappy, and protested against the same. He engaged in a verbal spat with the bowler and was later charged with one demerit point for his actions. Agha was found guilty of breaching level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct under article 2.2 which is related to verbal abuse.
The charges were levelled by on-field umpires Adrian Holdstock and Tanvir Ahmed, and TV umpire Kumar Dharmasena. Agha accepted the penalty imposed by the match officials, and hence there will be no further appeal on this matter.
