Bangladesh and Afghanistan join Pakistan in elusive list of playing two formats of International Cricket on the same day

Bangladesh won the Bronze medal in the Asian Games men's T20I cricket competition.
Two young Asian teams Bangladesh and Afghanistan have joined the elite list of teams playing two international games at the same time at different venues in two different tournaments. Pakistan became the first team in history to achieve this unique feat in international cricket. Now, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have joined Pakistan.
Bangladesh and Afghanistan join Pakistan
Bangladesh are taking on Afghanistan in the World Cup 2023 in Dharamshala, and both of their other playing XIs are taking part in Asian Games 2023 in China. Bangladesh were playing against Pakistan in Asian Games 2023 bronze medal game in China when the toss happened in Dharamshala between Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the World Cup clash.
Later on, Afghanistan entered the field against India in the Gold medal game, and at the same time, another XI was playing against Bangladesh at Dharamshala. Yesterday, Pakistan became the first team in the history of cricket to field a separate playing XI at the same time in different tournaments.
Pakistan became the first team to do so
Pakistan took on Netherlands in the World Cup and played against Afghanistan in Asian Games. Along with these three, India and Sri Lanka had also sent their second-string squad to participate in the biggest Asian sporting exhibition in China.
Ireland are also part of this special record, along with Afghanistan, but with a little twist, as they played two different games on the same day at the same venue and in the same tournament as Afghanistan. Both of these teams played in the semi-finals and finals of the event as the Desert T20 Challenge 2017 hosted the knock-out round in Dubai.
India won the Gold medal in Asian Games men's cricket competition after rain played a spoilsport in Hangzhou. India won the medal due to their higher seeding in the competition, while Afghanistan settled with silver medal. Bangladesh, who earlier defeated Pakistan in a last-ball thriller, won Bronze medal in the competition. Indian women’s team also won the gold medal earlier at the games.
