Bangladesh will lock horns with Pakistan in match No. 31 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Tuesday.

Bangladesh started the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 with a good win over Afghanistan in their first game, but that is the only thing that they have achieved so far. Since then, Bangladesh have suffered five consecutive defeats and are at the 9th place. If they can't finish in the top 7, then they might not qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.

Thus, Bangladesh need to put everything into play and play as a unit because the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 qualification is on the line. Bangladesh will face Pakistan in their next game. That match will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday, where Bangladesh lost to Netherlands. Here we will talk about Bangladesh's predicted playing XI against Pakistan.

PAK vs BAN: Bangladesh's Predicted playing XI vs Pakistan

1. Tanzid Hasan :

One area where Bangladesh have struggled are consistent wickets in the powerplay. Openers have not given them a good start. Tanzid Hasan has played all six games and scored 100 runs at an average of 16.66, which should be on his mind. So to stay relevant with the team, he will be eager to perform, and we might see him doing it against Pakistan on Tuesday.

2. Litton Das :

Litton Das is a dynamic batter and was one of the top-scorers across formats in 2022, but he has failed in this tournament. Apart from one or two innings, he has gotten out cheaply. Das has scored 180 runs at an average of 30 with two half-centuries, and he will also be under pressure, which might get the best out of him.

3. Najmul Hossain Shanto :

Najmul Hossain Shanto entered the tournament with good batting form and slammed an unbeaten 59 in the very first game against Afghanistan. But since then, he has only scored 24 runs in the next five innings, which is horrible. Shanto will have many things on the line, and to save his place, he might end up with a good innings.

4. Shakib Al Hasan (c) :

The form of Shakib Al Hasan is another disappointment for Bangladesh. With the ball, he has average numbers with 7 wickets at an economy rate of 5.14, but his form with the bat has declined. He has only scored 61 runs in five innings, which needs to be rectified by him. Being a captain, he will look to do well and play good innings to take his team into a good position.

5. Mushfiqur Rahim (wk) :

Mushfiqur Rahim has also performed below par. He has scored 166 runs at an average of 33.20, which is not up to his standards. He is the backbone of this middle-order and the one who takes the game deeply, but that has been lacking so far. Rahim has done well against Pakistan, and that might give him the confidence to do well once again.

6. Mahmudullah :

Mahmudullah is the biggest positive for Bangladesh in this tournament. The veteran has scored the most runs for his team and made 218 runs at an average of 72.66 with one hundred. He has done his part brilliantly but hasn't gotten help from the top-order. With the form he is in, he is expected to deliver another good innings on Tuesday.

7. Mehidy Hasan Miraz :

Mehidy Hasan Miraz has some consistent numbers. He has taken six wickets at an economy rate of 5.23 and scored 144 runs with the bat. Miraz can be a possible threat because he can be a match-winner in both departments. He can play a good innings with the bat and can be helpful with his spin bowling.

8. Mahedi Hasan :

Mahedi Hasan has played only two games so far and has already taken six wickets, which indicates how dangerous he can be with the ball. He is good against right-handers, and Pakistan have a number of those in their line-up. Hasan will get a grip on the pitch and can trouble Pakistanis.

9. Taskin Ahmed :

Taskin Ahmed missed a couple of games due to injury and has played four matches so far. He has taken four wickets, but he has lacked wickets with the new ball. But he has been a strike bowler for Bangladesh in the last couple of years. He will look to provide some early breakthroughs so that his team can be in a good position.

10. Mustafizur Rahman :

Just like Taskin, Mustafizur Rahman has also not picked wickets in the middle, which is another area that Bangladesh will be worried about. Though he has contained runs in the final overs, he must be feeling the pressure of not delivering. With his back against the wall, Rahman might come out well, and he will also get help on the pitch.

11. Shoriful Islam :

Shoriful Islam has looked better than the other two experienced bowlers in the team. He has taken eight wickets so far, and most of them are in powerplay with the new ball. Being a left-arm tall pacer, he creates a different angle, which makes it difficult for the right-handers, and he will give some tough times to Pakistanis as well.
