Bangladesh will lock horns with Bangladesh with match No. 23 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Bangladesh started the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 with a win over Afghanistan. But since then, they faced three top-contenders in the tournament and suffered rather horrible defeats. They faced defeats from New Zealand, England and India. Now, they will have an even bigger challenge in front of them.

Bangladesh will face South Africa in their next game on Tuesday. That match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. South Africa thrashed England at the same venue by 229 runs, and they will come hard at Bangladesh. So Bangla team will look to do well as a team. Here, we will talk about the predicted playing XI for Bangladesh against South Africa.

After struggles in the first few innings, finally Tanzid Hasan hit a good knock in the game against India. He played a brilliant innings of 51 off 43 balls and played well against Bumrah and Siraj. The left-hander is an attacking batter and has shown well with some starts. His team will look at him to put pressure on South African bowlers and provide them with a good start.

2. Litton Das :

With two half-centuries in four innings, Litton Das is the highest scorer for Bangladesh in this tournament. He has scored 155 runs at an average of 38.75. Litton has been a big match player, and those fifties came against England and India. He will look to attack South African pacers and play good innings on a good wicket in Mumbai.

3. Najmul Hossain Shanto :

Najmul Hossain Shanto has been a consistent batter for Bangladesh, but he has struggled so far in this competition. Apart from 59 not out against Afghanistan, he has gotten out cheaply in the next three games. Shanto, with his ability to tackle the pace well, will be tested against South African pacers. But with the pitch helping the batters, he will be looking to add some important runs in the middle.

4. Shakib Al Hasan (C) :

After getting injured, Shakib Al Hasan missed the last game against India. But he is expected to be back on the team, which will provide the team with great support. His presence will strengthen the batting that India lacked against them, and he can rotate the strike and hit good balls for boundaries. He is also the main strike bowler and among the best all-rounders.

5. Mehidy Hasan Miraz :

Mehidy Hasan Miraz will be the player to watch out for in the game. He is a match-winner with both bat and ball and has been a consistent player for Bangladesh in the last couple of years across formats. Miraz has so far scored 98 runs with the bat and picked up five wickets with the ball in the tournament, and he is a genuine all-rounder who can change the game in any situation.

6. Mushfiqur Rahim (wk) :

Mushfiqur Rahim is the backbone of this middle-order and has always batted well in tough conditions. With his experience, Rahim will be a big wicket because he can hold one end and then switch on the gears. If South Africa can dismiss him early, that can make a difference of 30–35 runs in batting for Bangladesh. Rahim has scored 157 runs at an average of 52.33 so far.

7. Towhid Hridoy :

Towhid Hridoy has looked off-color, and despite getting some good starts, he has struggled with the bat. However, Hidoy entered the tournament with some runs under his belt. He will need to get into rhythm before it gets too late. He can be a slow starter, but once he gets set, he can take on any bowling attack.

8. Mahmudullah :

Mahmudullah was brought in by the team to add experience, and that is how he has performed so far. He has batted in two innings, scored 87 runs at an average of 87 and a strike rate of 102.35, and played the finisher role pretty well. He has done the hardest job pretty well. He will look to continue the same and take his team to a good position.

9. Shoriful Islam :

Shoriful Islam is expected to make a strong comeback against South Africa on Tuesday. He is Bangladesh's main bowler at the moment, with the new ball and wicket-taker in the powerplay. He has had good performances so far, with five wickets in four games. The left-arm pacer will be looking to swing the ball in, especially with the new ball, because he can take couple of early wickets to put Bangladesh on top.

10. Mustafizur Rahman :

Mustafizur Rahman is Bangladesh's biggest bowler at the moment because of his ability to take wickets at any situation. But he will be under pressure against South Africa the way they are going. Mustafizur has a knack for picking up crucial wickets, and his team will be relying a lot on how he will perform and restrict South African batters.

11. Hasan Mahmud :

Hasan Mahmud played his first game of the season in the last match against India and looked pretty good. He dismissed Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill to provide his team with breakthroughs from the top. Mahmud is a young bowler with a great brain who relies on his line and length to trouble the batters, which is why he is also among the wickets.
