Bangladesh Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

Bangladesh will kick-off their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Sri Lanka on 7th June, 2024.
The ICC have unveiled the schedule for the Men’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024, placing Bangladesh in Group D alongside cricket powerhouses South Africa and Sri Lanka, as well as the Netherlands and Nepal. This edition introduces an innovative format, accommodating 20 teams for the first time, organized into four groups of five teams each. The tournament’s structure involves the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super Eight stage, followed by a division into two groups of four. The competition reaches its pinnacle as the top two teams from these groups progress to the semi-finals, setting the stage for the grand finale on June 29th.
Bangladesh, traditionally considered underachievers in ICC events, will aim to showcase their best performance in the upcoming prestigious tournament. The event also holds sentimental value as it is anticipated to be the final World Cup appearance for the accomplished all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who will be eager to conclude his international career on a high note.
Bangladesh will play their last group match against Nepal on 16th June
Bangladesh are set to commence their 2024 T20 World Cup journey with a clash against Sri Lanka on June 7 in Dallas. Following this encounter, Bangladesh will face South Africa on June 10 in New York.
The team’s next match is scheduled against the Netherlands on June 13 in St. Vincent. The concluding league-stage game for Bangladesh will be against Nepal on June 16, also in St. Vincent. If Bangladesh secure a position in the top two of the points table in Group D, they will advance to the Super 8 round.
